What is first aid?

First aid is the initial care of a suddenly sick or injured person. It is the care administered by a person as soon as possible after an accident or illness. It is this prompt care and attention prior to the arrival of the ambulance that sometimes means the difference between life and death, or between a full or partial recovery.

The main aims of first aid are:

Before treating the patient, we need to evaluate to identify what's wrong with them before administering first aid.

Evaluating Casualties:

0. Check if the area safe to perform first aid.
1. Check for responsive ness.
2. Check for breathing.
3. Check for bleeding.
4. Check for fracture.

The above should be enough for you to teach 45 minutes worth of first aid. If you have more times, you can teach the following:
